The venue is the Žatika sports hall, and the bill includes Nik P, the Nockis, the Edlseer, Die Draufgänger and Stefan Mross. It is the ninth edition, according to the Istria Tourist Board. What it means for visitors
If you drive, Croatia requires lights on during the day from Sunday 1 November. Daytime running lights are enough; otherwise the fine is 30 euros (daytime headlights in Croatia). Winter equipment on the designated winter routes becomes compulsory only on 15 November, a week after the festival (winter tyres in Croatia). Driving through Austria and Slovenia, you need a vignette for each country (vignettes and tolls), and on four motorway sections in Slovenia towards Croatia, cameras measure average speed (section control).
It is not beach weather any more. The nearest coastal station in our weather table is Rovinj, where the November average is 13 to 14 degrees in the afternoon and the sea averages 15 degrees. Our November weather guide recommends a waterproof jacket with a hood rather than an umbrella, because an umbrella is useless in a bura.
If you want to use the free Saturday, the region has plenty on. Opatija holds its chocolate festival from 6 to 8 November. Buzet hosts the Istrian Truffle Festival on 7 and 8 November in the big tent on Mašimova škuja, and Ližnjan celebrates sea bream and squid in Kuje bay from 6 to 8 November. Istria's agritourism farms open their doors for DOVAI on every weekend in November, starting on 7 and 8 November; book a table in advance. In Poreč itself, the Porečdox documentary film festival opens on 7 November at the cinema on Narodni trg.
