Editorial policy
Croatia Atlas reports on Croatia from Zagreb, in five languages. These rules apply to every article.
Responsibility
Croatia Atlas belongs to Gearstack, a sole proprietorship in Zagreb. Kristijan Bezjak is responsible for all content and appears as the author of every article.
Sources
Every news article rests on at least two sources. When an authority, organiser or operator is responsible, their statement is one of them. All sources are linked below the article. Figures, dates and quotes appear as the source gives them. Every article is our own text.
AI use
Croatia Atlas works with AI tools. They help with research, drafting, translation and checks. Every article starts from the sources it names. Before publication, figures, dates, names, places and prices are checked against those sources. The same goes for the headline, description and image captions. All five language versions carry the same facts. Kristijan Bezjak sets the rules for this work. The live road reports are machine translated from Croatian and labelled as such.
Dates and updates
Every article shows when it was published. When new facts arrive, we add them and show the new date. The publication date and the address stay the same.
Corrections
We correct errors in the article itself as soon as we learn of them. Please send corrections to info@gearstacklabs.com.
Photos
Croatia Atlas shows real photos only. Most come from Wikimedia Commons and carry the name of their author. Photos of restaurants and businesses appear with their consent.
Recommendations
Restaurant picks draw on guides such as Michelin and Gault&Millau, on the restaurants' own information and on tourist boards. We mention a visit of our own only when it took place. Mentions in articles are unpaid.
Advertising
The site is funded by Google AdSense ads, labelled as advertising. Partner links, such as the Discover Cars rental comparison, are labelled. Croatia Atlas earns a commission on bookings made through them. Highlighted placements booked by event organisers carry the label “Sponsored”. Topics and content remain an editorial decision.
