Buzet holds the Istrian Truffle Festival on 7 and 8 November: an exhibition, tastings, a cooking show and a race along truffle trails. It is the last weekend of Istria's Truffle Days 2026.

Buzet in northern Istria holds the Festival istarskih tartufa, the Istrian Truffle Festival, on Saturday and Sunday 7 and 8 November 2026. It takes place in the big tent on the Mašimova škuja square, and the Buzet tourist board is the contact (Istra.hr). The weekend closes the Days of the Istrian White Truffle 2026, which began in Motovun on 5 September (Istra.hr, truffle calendar).
Exhibition, cooking show and a truffle hunt race
Inside the tent, an exhibition shows fresh truffles. Visitors can taste and buy truffles and truffle products, along with Istrian homemade food such as pršut ham, cheese, olive oil, wine, honey and jams. In the cooking show Buzet na pjatu (Buzet on a plate), local restaurant owners cook. There is also live music, a children's corner and the Lov na tartuf (truffle hunt) race, which combines mountain biking and trekking.
By 27 October, the tourist board had not published opening times, entry prices or the race start. For comparison, the 19th edition in 2022: entry and the whole programme were free, 41 exhibitors took part, and the exhibition opened from 11:00 to 19:00 on the Sunday (Novi list). There was a truffle hunting demonstration at 12:00, a free guided walk through Buzet at 15:00, a 6-kilometre bike ride and a 10-kilometre walk along the truffle hunters' trail. Novi list quoted 6,000 euros per kilogram for white truffle at the time.

What it means for visitors

- Ask about times: No times were online by 27 October. The Buzet tourist board answers questions via tz-buzet.hr.
- Buying truffles: Producers sell fresh truffles and truffle products at the festival. For reference, Novi list quoted 6,000 euros per kilogram for white truffle in 2022.
