Since Tuesday 27 October 2026, new maximum fuel prices apply in Croatia, and the filling stations have switched over. The price table of the Croatian Automobile Club HAK, based on what traders report to the Ministry of Economy, shows the new values by company (HAK). At all six large chains the median for Eurosuper 95 is 1.69 euros and for Eurodiesel 1.88 euros a litre. That is exactly the cap the government set on Monday (Government of Croatia). If you are driving over All Saints' weekend, watch two things above all: the motorway and the grade you pick at the pump.
What changed compared with last week is covered in our report Croatia cuts the petrol price for the All Saints' weekend.

Prices by company
The table shows, for the standard grades, the lowest and highest price each company reports across its stations, plus the median. The median shows what most stations of a chain charge.
| Company | Eurosuper 95, median | Eurosuper 95, range | Eurodiesel, median | Eurodiesel, range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| INA | 1.69 | 1.69 to 1.76 | 1.88 | 1.88 to 2.01 |
| Petrol | 1.69 | 1.69 to 1.76 | 1.88 | 1.88 to 2.01 |
| Tifon | 1.69 | 1.69 to 1.76 | 1.88 | 1.88 to 2.01 |
| Lukoil | 1.69 | 1.69 to 1.77 | 1.88 | 1.88 to 2.01 |
| Shell | 1.69 | 1.42 to 1.76 | 1.88 | 1.43 to 1.88 |
| Adria Oil | 1.69 | 1.64 to 1.74 | 1.88 | 1.72 to 2.13 |
Shell reports strikingly low single values: 1.42 euros for petrol and 1.43 euros for diesel at individual stations. Adria Oil is also below the cap for petrol at some stations, at 1.64 euros. The table does not say which stations these are; the price at every single station is on HAK's interactive map and in its apps. Autogas (LPG) has a median of 1.01 to 1.04 euros a litre, depending on the chain.

Motorways and premium grades cost more
According to HAK, the highest values in the table usually come from motorway stations, where the state cap does not apply. For Eurosuper 95 the chains charge up to 1.77 euros there, up to 8 cents more than in town. For diesel the gap is wider: INA, Petrol, Tifon and Lukoil report up to 2.01 euros, Adria Oil up to 2.13 euros. On 50 litres of diesel that is up to 12.50 euros extra.
You also pay more if you choose a premium grade at the pump. INA Class Plus Premium and Adria Oil G-Power 95 start at 1.84 euros, Lukoil Ecto 95 has a median of 1.85 euros. Premium diesel has a median between 2.04 euros (Lukoil Ecto) and 2.24 euros (Shell V-Power) depending on the chain, Super 100 between 2.16 and 2.30 euros.

What it means for visitors
Filling up in Croatia remains cheaper than in Germany, Austria and Italy. The European Commission publishes average prices per country every week. According to the values HAK shows on 27 October, petrol averages 2.18 euros and diesel 2.27 euros in Germany, 1.82 and 2.13 euros in Austria, 1.75 and 1.89 euros in Slovenia, and 2.02 and 2.24 euros in Italy (European Commission, Oil Bulletin). Compared with the Croatian cap, this means for a 50-litre tank:
- Compared with Germany: petrol about 24 euros cheaper, diesel about 19 euros.
- Compared with Austria: petrol about 6 euros cheaper, diesel about 13 euros.
- Compared with Italy: petrol about 16 euros cheaper, diesel about 18 euros.
- Compared with Slovenia: petrol about 3 euros cheaper, diesel less than 1 euro. If you come through Slovenia, you can cross the border with half a tank and fill up in the first Croatian town.
- On the A1 or A2 it pays to leave the motorway to refuel: in the next town the cap applies again.
The decree applies for seven days, up to and including Monday 2 November. After that the government recalculates with its formula, based on oil prices from the previous week (Government of Croatia). If you travel through Austria and Slovenia, the vignette costs are in our overview Driving to Croatia, and current fuel prices are updated hourly on our page Prices in Croatia.
