From 1 November 2026 the new line 9605 links Pučišća and Postira on Brač directly with Split, and with Omiš on Saturdays. Timetable, fares and what changes for visitors.

The north coast of Brač gets its own fast link to the mainland. From Sunday 1 November 2026 the catamaran Krilo Tropic runs the new state line 9605 from Pučišća via Postira to Split, calling at Omiš on Saturdays. The crossing to Split takes about 70 minutes, according to the operator Krilo, and the line runs all year. Until now the way from Pučišća and Postira led by road to Supetar and from there by car ferry to Split. The boat was built in 2022 and carries 332 passengers.

Timetable from 1 November

The times follow the islanders: to Split in the morning, back in the afternoon. The first regular sailing leaves Pučišća at 16:00 and Postira at 16:30 on Sunday 1 November, Morski.hr reports. As 1 November is a public holiday, the Sunday timetable applies from day one.

Fares and tickets

Island residents pay 3.50 euros from Pučišća to Split and 3 euros from Postira to Split. The same legal discounts apply as on the ferry lines, and eligible pupils, students and pensioners travel free. At the start, tickets are sold on board, in cash or by card. Krilo publishes the full fare for visitors and the complete timetable on its website, and the company can be reached on +385 21 645 476.

What it means for visitors

For visitors based in Split the line changes little. It does not work for a day trip to Pučišća or Postira, because the catamaran leaves Split in the afternoon and only sails back the next morning. To reach the island from Split, the car ferry to Supetar remains the way: line 631, 50 minutes, 6.50 euros per person, 12 sailings a day in the winter timetable and 11 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from November. From Supetar buses also run to Pučišća, though less often than to Bol. The rest is in our Brač guide.

The other direction gets easier. Anyone staying on the north of the island, in a holiday home or for the winter, can reach Split without a car at 06:15 on weekdays and 08:00 on Saturdays and be back on the 16:30. That is enough for a day in the city, for example at the Advent market, which opens in Split on 27 November (Advent on the coast). Anyone staying for the evening goes back by ferry to Supetar; buses from there to Pučišća are infrequent.

On Saturdays the boat also calls at Omiš, at the mouth of the Cetina, on its way to Split. Krilo has not yet said whether the 16:30 return stops there too, so anyone heading to Omiš on a Saturday should check the way back with the company first. Povlja, further east, is not on the line, although it was discussed (Morski.hr). For Sumartin and Selca the ferry to Makarska remains.

In strong bora catamarans are cancelled: on 31 October Krilo suspended its line between Pula and Zadar because of the wind. Check the company's notices before every trip. The weekend weather is in our bora report.
