Prices in restaurants and bars are rising faster than prices overall. In September 2026 consumer prices were 4.7 percent above the same month a year earlier, restaurants and accommodation 6.5 percent (DZS database, Dnevnik.hr). In August 2026, the month of the wage figures, the rates were 4.2 and 6.1 percent, while net pay rose by 6.7 percent in the same month.
Two current rules affect prices at the table. In Pula, food stalls at Advent 2026 must offer a basic selection at capped prices, such as a hot dog for at most 5 euros and mulled wine for at most 3 euros (Pula Advent).
