ACI Marina Umag

The first sizeable marina on the Croatian coast if you arrive from the north.

Activity

Why it is worth your time

The ACI marina Umag is the first larger marina of the Croatian coast for boats arriving from the north and thereby the entry gate of the whole Adriatic: several hundred berths in a sheltered bay north of the core, with customs and the harbour master's office on the spot, which for crews arriving from Italy or Slovenia is as practical as it is symbolic. The marina has a service yard, a crane, a fuel station and staff who work all year, and along the piers are a restaurant, a chandlery and cafés.

For the visitor without a boat the marina is a pleasant walk and the best way to see what the nautical Adriatic looks like in its densest form: hundreds of masts in a row, flags of a dozen countries and boats of every size. From here also depart excursions toward Novigrad, Porec and the Slovenian coast, and taxi boats in season. From the core the marina is a ten-minute walk by the coastal promenade, and the car park is by the entrance.
