Why it is worth your time

Trstevica is a cove south of Srima used almost exclusively by locals: a shingle and stone shore in shelter, without a bar, loungers or showers, with pines growing right down to the water and with a sea that because of the position is calm almost always. Precisely the lack of facilities keeps the cove empty even in August, so whoever seeks what postcards call a hidden place truly finds it here. The sea deepens moderately, the bottom is clean and rocky, and visibility is excellent, which makes the cove popular with free divers and with those who swim with a mask.

An unpaved road leads to Trstevica from Srima, some ten minutes on foot or five minutes by car to the parking above; the path down is short but uneven, so wear something firmer than flip-flops. Bring water, food and a parasol, because natural shade exists only along the edge. For a day without a single sound but the sea, this is the nearest address to Vodice.
