The weather moved it: instead of opening on Thursday 10 September, the Zagreb Burger Festival opens on Saturday 12 September at 11:00 and runs two days longer, until Tuesday 22 September 2026. Seventeen stands with 56 burgers on Trg dr. Franje Tuđmana by the Western Station, from Labin and Vodice to last year's winner, plus DJs, quizzes, a burger-eating contest and a hot-chili contest. Entry is free; you pay at the stand.

The organisers announced the change on 9 September: because of the weather forecast for the opening days, the festival was moved from 10 to 20 September to Saturday 12 to Tuesday 22 September 2026, with two extra days to make up for the delay. The location stays Trg dr. Franje Tuđmana, the square between the Mimara Museum and the Western Station (Zapadni kolodvor), a 15-minute walk west of Ban Jelačić Square along Ilica, or a tram to Britanski trg and five minutes south. The first day opens at 11:00; on the other days the stands open at noon on weekdays and at 11:00 at the weekend and stay open until midnight.
Who is grilling
Seventeen exhibitors and 56 burgers, from classic combinations to the experimental. The organisers named, among others, Farabuto from Labin, Strikoman's from Vodice, Bold, Smashville and Grof Lovski from Zagreb, Ž Burger from Belgrade, the chefs Mate Janković and Ivan Pažanin, and Chubby Chuck's, last year's champion. Prices are set by each stand. Around the burgers: mini doughnuts in Oreo, Raffaello and Dubai-chocolate versions, cocktails and wine.

- DJs and live concerts in the evenings, quizzes and masterclasses with the chefs.
- A burger-eating contest and a hot-chili contest; the exact days and times are on the festival's social channels.
- Entry is free. Come early on the weekend evenings: with 56 burgers on one square, the queues at the known names are the longest between 19:00 and 21:00.
