A month of pancakes in one park: seven stalls, seven styles, from a plum jam crêpe at 2.50 to an XXL family pancake at 9.50. Open every day until 20 September, from five in the afternoon on weekdays and from ten at weekends.

Checked: 25 August 2026

Palačinke are the Croatian everyday pancake, thin like a French crêpe and usually filled with jam, chocolate or walnuts. For a month Rougemarin Park in Zagreb turns them into a festival: seven stalls, seven brand partners, seven styles, and a run that started on 20 August and goes to 20 September. It is a park, not a hall, and the whole thing works better in the evening.

The seven styles

  • French crêpes, thin and folded, the version closest to the everyday Croatian palačinka.
  • Kaiserschmarrn, the Austrian one torn into pieces in the pan, and American stacks, the thick kind.
  • Cachapas from Venezuela, made with corn, which is the one most people here have never had.
  • Pancake bowls, pancake cakes and XXL family pancakes, which is where the nine and a half euro goes.

Prices run from 2.50 euro for the old school pancake with plum jam to 9.50 for the largest of the XXL ones, which is meant to be shared. Between the stalls there is pancake tossing, juggling and pop-up bits, so it works with children in the early evening and without them later.
