Prklog bay

A deep, enclosed bay north of Sveta Marina, a stone shore without a single building.

Why it is worth your time

Prklog is the bay that cuts almost a kilometre inland between Cape Prklog and the slopes of Labin, and unlike everything further south there is nothing in it: no house, no café, no car park. The shore is stone slabs and fine pebbles, the sea at the head of the bay calm and shallow, deep and full of fish towards the entrance, which is why the divers from Sveta Marina like it.

You reach it on foot along a gravel track from Sveta Marina in half an hour, or by boat; swimmers with a towel are rare, sailing boats anchoring for the night more common. Bring water and shade, the pines grow only on the slopes above the shore.
