Velika Raduca Beach

The main town beach on a pine-wood peninsula, shingle and turquoise regularly counted among Dalmatia's best.

Why it is worth your time

Velika Raduca is Primosten's main beach and a permanent resident of the selections of the Adriatic's loveliest beaches: a long shingle arc on a pine-wood peninsula whose crowns descend to the very shore and do what on southern beaches is worth gold, natural shade steps from the sea. The sea deepens gradually and is transparent to the bottom, so the cove is safe for children and tempting to swimmers, who pass the buoy line out toward the open; from the water opens also the best view of the old town, which from here looks like a scale model.

The beach is arranged without excess: loungers and parasols where you need them, showers, cabins, lifeguards in season, and along the promenade bars and restaurants for a day without going into town. In July and August the morning is gold: until ten you have the sea to yourself, in the afternoon the pine shade helps. The car park is above the beach, and on foot one arrives from the centre in ten minutes by the seaside walk. If you choose one beach of central Dalmatia for a whole family day, Raduca is the risk-free choice.
