Kremik Marina

A deeply drawn-in sheltered harbour among the vineyards, one of the Adriatic's safest marinas.

Activity Hidden gem

Why it is worth your time

Kremik marina lies in a bay a sailor would draw if allowed to choose: a deeply drawn-in inlet south of Primosten, shielded by hills on all sides, into which neither the southerly nor the bora enters seriously, for which Kremik counts as one of the Adriatic's safest harbours. Hundreds of berths, a service yard, a crane and a fuel station make it a serious base for charter and wintering of boats, and around it, instead of the usual harbour grey, climb the Babic vineyards: few marinas in the world hold a view in which masts and vine share the same frame. For the visitor without a boat Kremik is a pleasant outing of some ten minutes' drive or an hour's walk by the coastal path from Primosten: a stroll along the piers by the sailboats, coffee in the marina café and the view over the inlet are worth the turn, and the restaurant above the marina works off-season too.

For sailors this is the ideal starting point for the Kornati, Sibenik and the Krka; reserving a berth in summer is wise. Kremik shows Primosten's other side: behind the old town's postcard stands a place that lives off the sea seriously, the whole year.
