The oldest beer festival in Croatia, in a town shaped like a star
Karlovac was laid out in 1579 as a six-pointed star, a renaissance fortress town built in one go against the Ottoman advance, and the shape is still the street plan. The 39th Dani piva runs from 28 August to 1 September 2026 inside it, on two stages, with half a litre of draught at two euros fifty.

Who plays
The opening on Friday is at half past eight, Severina at nine. Petar Grašo closes the festival on 1 September. In between the bill runs through the names that fill Croatian summer stages, and the town is full every night of the five, which is what happens when a place of fifty thousand hosts something that has been running since the eighties.
