You stand on the quiet square of the Upper Town before a roof whose glazed tiles spell out the emblems of Croatia and the city of Zagreb. Glinting in the sun, it is the single most recognisable image of the Croatian capital. Inside, sculptures by Ivan Meštrović and a hushed light await you.
