South of Zagreb, beyond the airport, spread Velika Gorica and the Turopolje plain: a land of oak groves, native Turopolje pigs and unique wooden chapels found nowhere else. The Turopolje Museum in the town centre keeps the story of this special, little-visited part of the surroundings.
