In the Croatian Academy palace on Zrinjevac hang works by Italian, Flemish and Dutch masters, gifted to the city by Bishop Strossmayer. In the lobby hides the Baška Tablet, one of the oldest monuments of Croatian literacy.
Even if you skip the paintings, step into the lobby to see the 11th-century Baška Tablet for free.
