On the slopes of Medvednica, where the city turns into villages, lie Šestine with their lovely Church of St Emeric and a view over Zagreb. From here comes the famous red Šestine umbrella, a folk symbol of the region. The old inn by the church serves hillside cooking far from the city's bustle.
