Facing the yellow National Theatre, this museum traces five centuries of furniture, clocks, glass, fashion and design: from Gothic through Art Nouveau to the modern. An elegant temple of Central European applied art. Treat it as a rhythm change in the day plan. The best version is not to rush through it, but to use the stop for atmosphere, photos, a short rest and a better sense of the neighbourhood around the main sights.
Combine it in one stop with the National Theatre and Meštrović's 'Well of Life' just across the square.
