
Diocletian's Palace

Sustipan is a small headland park above the western edge of Split's harbour, planted with cypresses and laced with gravel paths. It was once the city cemetery, and a quiet, contemplative air still hangs between the trees and the little pavilion at the edge of the cliff. Bring a book or just sit on a bench and watch sailboats slide in and out of the bay below.
One of the calmest sunset spots in Split, minutes from the Riva but a world away from its crowds.
