Why it is worth your time
Bačvice is that Dalmatian rarity, a genuinely sandy beach, just a short walk from the old town. Its shallow bay is the home of picigin, Split's beloved game of acrobatically keeping a little ball out of the water, played here in every season. Wade far out through knee-deep water, then dry off with a coffee above the sand.
