Why it is worth your time
The Parenzana once carried steam trains from Trieste to Poreč; today its bed is a gentle trail of fine gravel winding below Motovun. Pedal or stroll through cool stone tunnels and over old viaducts, with vineyards and the hilltop town rising beside you. It is the loveliest way to feel the rhythm of the Istrian countryside.
