Why it is worth your time
Sveta Gera, called Trdinov vrh on the Slovenian side, is the highest point of the Žumberak uplands on the border between Croatia and Slovenia. Instead of rocky drama you get deep deciduous forest, clearings and the feeling of being far from everything. It is a summit for quiet hiking days, where the forest walk matters more than any single lookout.
