At Turanj, on Karlovac's southern edge, the town's defence line ran in the 1990s, and this museum tells the story of the Homeland War right there: tanks and heavy equipment stand outside, while exhibits and personal stories lead through the war years inside. Not an easy place, but one that makes the town and the region easier to understand. Give it time and quiet.
