Why it is worth your time
The old castle of Dubovac sits on its wooded hill above Karlovac, and the view is exactly why you climb up: the town's rooftops, the loops of the Kupa river and green hills rolling out behind. The walk up through the trees is short, and at the top walls, tower and panorama take turns.
