Why it is worth your time
From here Dubrovnik arranges itself like a postcard: the walled Old Town on one side, green Lokrum on the other. A long staircase leads down to the pebbles, and that is exactly what keeps the crowds away. In return the beach holds the sun into the evening, when other coves have long fallen into shade.
