Why it is worth your time
This church holds Zadar's strangest treasure: the gilded-silver sarcophagus of Saint Simeon, nearly two tonnes of hammered relief commissioned by a Hungarian-Croatian queen in 1377 and inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World register. Inside, the mummified saint is still raised before the faithful on his feast day.
