Marmont Street

Why it is worth your time

Along the western edge of the old town this pedestrian street runs dead straight from the harbour northwards: polished white stone, shop windows, cafés and a steady stream of strollers. It carries the name of Marshal Marmont, who governed Split in the Napoleonic era. In the evening it belongs to the locals on their traditional evening round.
