Why it is worth your time
Follow the path up to this fortified hilltop, where old stone walls trace the outline of a settlement long since abandoned. Wildflowers and low scrub now grow over what were once ramparts, and the quiet up here is a world away from the busy old town. Bring good shoes, as the ground is uneven and largely unshaded.
