Why it is worth your time

When Pula was the main war harbour of Austria-Hungary, a whole ring of fortifications encircled the city, and this round coastal fort is part of it. Thick stone walls and dark casemates recall the former fortress town. Today the fort rests quietly in greenery on the rise above Valsaline bay.
