Plitvica Selo is a quiet village close to the park, its name, meaning simply 'Plitvica village', tied to the very water that shaped this whole region. Stone and timber houses sit among orchards and meadows, a slower rhythm than the trails a short walk away. It is a glimpse of everyday life just outside the park's edge.
