Why it is worth your time
Mrsinjgrad survives today as broken walls and foundations rather than a standing fortress, stone slowly losing its fight with the forest that has grown up around it. Reaching the top means climbing through undergrowth rather than following a paved path, which keeps the crowds away. What is left still commands a wide view over the hills and valleys below.
