Hidden beneath towering cliffs south of town, Nugal is Makarska's wild secret, with no road to spoil it. Walk the shaded forest path from Osejava for half an hour and you emerge onto a cove of white pebbles and startlingly clear water. Bring everything you need, for there are no crowds here, only the sea, the rock and the cicadas.
