On a rock just outside the western walls, Lovrijenac keeps watch over the sea; above its gate runs the line that freedom is not sold for all the gold in the world. From the terraces you look straight onto the Old Town walls and the open Adriatic. In summer the fortress becomes a stage for Hamlet, and it is familiar to fans of Game of Thrones.
The city walls ticket also covers Lovrijenac, so keep it with you.
