Why it is worth your time
The cable car floats from the edge of the Old Town up Mount Srđ, and with every metre Dubrovnik rearranges itself below you: the city walls, the red roofs, Lokrum island and the open Adriatic beyond. At the top you step onto viewing terraces, and the Napoleonic-era Fort Imperial holds an exhibition about the war of the 1990s.
