A ten-minute walk from the old town brings you to Kolovare, the long-loved municipal beach where Zadar comes to swim. Pebble and concrete terraces shaded by pines run along a shallow bay, with showers, cafes, a promenade and a diving platform: easy, social and a world away from the museum crowds.
