Right next to the Sea Organ, a circle of glass plates 22 metres across is set into the paving of the riva. By day the solar cells beneath it soak up sunlight; after dark the surface flickers in shifting patterns of colour under your feet. Children dance across it, couples pose in the glow, and behind it all the sea keeps rushing. This piece too is the work of architect Nikola Bašić.
Come just after sunset, when the light show starts and the riva still glows with the last of the dusk.
A small next-step selection from the same city.
