A lake named for a whirlpool, where the current visibly swirls before easing on.
Vir means 'whirlpool' in Croatian, and the name still fits: watch the water here and you can see the current twist and eddy before it settles into the calmer stretch ahead. It is a small, energetic link in the upper chain, more alive than its quieter neighbors. The boardwalk lets you watch the swirl from just above the surface.
