Why it is worth your time
The name comes from the verb prštati, to spray, and that is exactly what the water does: Veliki Prštavac tumbles about 28 metres over travertine barriers between lakes Galovac and Gradinsko, in a cloud of fine droplets that cools the trail. The boardwalks pass almost beneath the fall, making this the wettest, loudest spot of the Upper Lakes.
