Smoljanac is a quiet cluster of houses along the road toward Plitvice, the kind of place travelers pass through without stopping. Meadows and forest edge close around it, giving a first taste of the landscape waiting inside the park. It is easy to miss, and just as easy to enjoy for a few unhurried minutes.
