Why it is worth your time

Step inside the rare round church raised by the Jesuits in the 17th century, its form echoing Venice's Santa Maria della Salute. Beneath the dome hangs a Gothic crucifix wrapped in legend: a gambler is said to have hurled a stone at it, and the figure of Christ bled while the earth swallowed the sinner.
